Benton County is located in the northwestern part of the state, although the winters tend to be somewhat harsh in this county when compared to the statewide average but it is still a good place of off grid living. The population density is somewhat high in Benton County although you shouldn’t have problems finding suitable land for off grid living especially in the northern parts of the county.
Washington County
Washington County is located in the northwestern part of the state, right next to Benton County. Washington County has everything that you would need for off grid living and the population density is also lower than in the neighboring counties. Calhoun County
Calhoun County is an excellent place for off grid living, especially if you are on a tight budget. Due to the low population density, the price of land and the cost of living are some of the lowest in the entire state.
